Greater Atlanta Dental Society is the
Northern District Dental Society
Representing the Dental Profession in the Twelve County Greater Atlanta Area
Dr. Carol Wolff has made a huge impact on our profession through her tireless efforts and countless hours she has spent outside of her practice working in all areas of organized dentistry.
She has served on the Georgia Board of Dentistry as member and president, Northern District president, delegate to the American Dental Association, and the Georgia chair of the American Dental Association delegation. These responsibilities are only a few that led to Dr. Wolff being named Northern District’s Michael T. Rainwater Dentist of the Year for 2014. Dr. Wolff has served and chaired numerous committees at the local, state and national levels of dentistry. She not only works on the policy side of dentistry, but donates many charitable hours of clinical dentistry working at Ben Massell Clinic, Give Kids A Smile and Georgia Mission of Mercy.
Dr. Wolff is from Chattanooga, Tennessee. and has been in private practice since she graduated from Emory School of Dentistry in 1985.
Dr. Wolff was honored in “Margaritaville” at the Druid Hills Golf Club on August 23, when the Northern District hosted its annual Gala for Smiles. The gala raised $25,000 for the Greater Atlanta Dental Foundation which supports metro Atlanta dental clinics. Money was raised through live auctions, wine raffles and donations. Auction items such as a diamond bracelet donated by Affinity Bank, a diamond necklace from Tassels, and a week stay in the home of Dr. Mollie Winston in Jackson Hole, Wyoming helped us to reach our goal. The room was at capacity of 250 people and music by The American Flyers kept the dance floor full! The gala was a great success this year in large part due to generous sponsorships. A special thank you to Affinity Bank, Aftco Consultants, Ashford Advisors, Carestream Dental, DDS staffing, eDental Image, Eastwood Real Estate Services, Henry Schein, Patterson Dental, Pittman Dental Lab, Rozar Morris CPA, Southeast Transitions, and Stuart Oberman Law.
If you were unable to attend the Gala this year, please mark your calendars now for August 29, 2015 and don’t miss the fun of next year’s Gala at the new College Football Hall of Fame! You can contribute to the Greater Atlanta Dental Foundation even if you did not attend the Gala.
